Skadis Wachen

In Asgard, der Wohnstätte der Asen, im Palast Thrymheim,
lebt Skadi, die Göttin der Unabhängigkeit, des Krieges,
der Jagd und des Winters.
Von diesem Palast berichtet die Sage: Thrymheim heißt die
sechste Wohnstatt, wo Thiazi hauste, jener mächtige Jote.
Nun bewohnt Skadi, die scheue Götterbraut, des Vaters alte Veste.

Wir, Skadis Wachen, hüten die Heimstatt und das Feuer Skadis.
Mit unseren Bögen und unseren Schwerten wachen wir für Skadi auf Midgard, unserer Göttin und allen Asen treu ergeben.

Und so ziehen wir von Herdfeuer zu Herdfeuer, die Kunst
des Bogenschießens den Menschen in Midgard zu zeigen und sie darin zu lehren, um so der Göttin Skadi Ehre und Demut zu erweisen.

Seyd willkommen in den Hallen von Thrymheim!

In Asgard, the home of the Æsir, in a palace called Thrymheim,
lives Skadi, the goddess of Independence, War,
Hunt and Winter.
This palace has an own story to tell: "Thrymheim is the name
of the sixth dwelling, where Thiazi, the mighty giant, once lived."
Now Skadi, the shy bride of Gods, lives in her father´s home.

We, the Guards of Skadi, are the guardians of the dwelling
and the fire of Skadi. With our bows and our swords we are on patrol for Skadi in Midgard, loyal to our Goddess and all other Æsir.

And so we wander from fire to fire to teach
the people in Midgard the art of archery and by this
show honour and devotion to our Goddess Skadi.
